The Two Moons of Kuha

A segment from an Itānish origin myth detailing the creation of the world. Told by Geghdol Zhilkazna=dan Uzāgid of the Northern Itān Tribes, 93TOR.

“Ysh knew the battle between good and evil would continue, and she gouged her eyeballs out to give birth to two sons, Yolmu and Lyd. Upon the birth of the two moons above the mirror lake, their reflection begot two daughters of Ghadoz who also emerged from the lake: Ulla (“cruelty”) and Blyz (“thievery”). Ysh, Yolmu, and Lyd could see that the mirror lake was a thing of evil, and buried it under a large pile of earth, the pile which became the Black Wall mountain ranges.”
